TVR tank set up

Please share your TVR tank set up.
Can you put water plants in the tub?? Is the size 5x3x2 tub good size for young tvr? Approximately 1.6 ft height too deep for TVR?

This is the best setup for TVR, simple and nice
Baby fries (BBR) only required few inches of depth, 2 -3"
Tosai best to keep between 6" - 8"
Nisai best to keep below 12"
Oya same as Nisai best to keep between 10" - 12"
Tosai means same year fish. So if someone is selling a Tosai now, it mean he is selling a fish that is born in this fiscal year.
Nisai means two year old fish. So basically, it means the fish is supposed to be 2 year old now. So any fishes born in fiscal year 2012 would be considered to be a Nisai in 2014.
Oya means parent or adult fishes. It is usually used to categorise fishes that is 3 year old (Sansai) and above. So any fishes born in fiscal year 2011 or earlier would be considered to be Oya fishes from this year onwards.

I think im going for TVR now. I like admiring them from the top than side. From the top, you can admire their head, body, beautiful tail and color. Plus point, they wont grow as big as SVR. TVR more graceful i think.

Is it expensive to actually import prized TVR from Japan. Just curious........

What worries me apart from costing and freight charges, are the temperature different. Just imagine Japan temperature and local temperature, I was fortunate to know a pioneer TVR player who share his sad experience, consider total lost after reach Singapore.
He ever mentioned unless you know Japan breeder very well then only get their quality off spring and is not going to be cheap. Few k for a piece of premium TVR is very common and not normal hobbyist will go for that and willingly to fly there to view their order.
We have local breeders and quite a handful of TVR players here, I try to recall some Ex and existing players for your reference (Combat/ ReapersCreepers/ Jenson/ ranchu_keeper/ Shaifu/ Gtiger)
You may want to ask Jenson to into his Shifu to you hehe
We have a lady breeder from ASRS club, She is also a shifu, please look for Combat and Reapers.
If you want another option to know local popular breeder, bro Shaifu can help hahaha
TVR is one of the most challenging goldfish to handle. I must admit I failed
The longest to survive in my hand is less than 2 months
Keep dying until I surrender and pass all my remaining TVR to a ah pek, who kept TVR in a shallow cement pond.

I am guessing, his shifu is Wee Yap? I emailed Wee Yap before but he turned me down and asked me go concentrate SVR. Thats very encouraging, sigh. I know i am a newbie but we all started off as a newbie. I feel that a chance should at least be given to me otherwise how will i learn the rope. A chance is vital in the journey of TVR/SVR and that is all i am asking. I am sure when those Japan breeders let go their TVR to those ex players, they were given the chances as well. Besides, i thought the club‘ s aim is to promote the love for TVR. No? No offence please. Just sharing my views.
I did PM Someone from another forum and waiting for reply. Contacted Lawrence Lee. He replied and thats all about it. Somehow people are thinking is just a phase and im not serious about it. Whatever it is, we all can think what we want. Most importantly, i know what i want. That matters most.
Anyway, thank you so much and really appreciated heaps for the ex and existing players list of TVR. Situs, you have been very informative and supportive, even though i do not know you in person. I will keep trying....
By the way, i am currently talking to a guy, Chris, who happen to have a pair about 8 months if i am not wrong, and he is letting go both of them. Not his breeding but from a local reputable breeder, dont want to mention name. Not the best pair, each has its own flaws but then, if i can start off with the pair and try to grow them and shower them witb TLC, i think that is a good start too? I must build a good relationship with the fish too,i reckon. Just like me and Charlie now, each time i sit close to the tub to admire him, he will swim around and at times, swim to me. He even allows me to play with him, allows me to touch him and thats so amazing! I hope to train them to be approachable, that is not afraid. Dog term, good temperament. Can this be done? Hahaha... soon to know. lol.
Thanks Situs for the contact. Cheers.
